Miss Rajanya Das & Family,

The Youngest Champion

Ms. Rajanya Das, the youngest member of our Second Innings calendar Hall of Fame, faced a massive abdominal tumour at just 12 years old. Her spine curved backward to accommodate the growth, yet her spirit remained unbroken. She emerged not just a survivor, but a champion in sports and academics, proving heroes arise from everyday families.
Her Courageous Journey

Strength beyond years

Rajanya arrived with severe abdominal distension, shocking her parents and even herself.

Relatives bombarded the family with advice, but her educated parents researched thoroughly, consulted multiple doctors, and chose fertility-sparing surgery, a novel advancement in gynaecological oncology.

This approach removed the tumour while preserving her future options. Unlike many Indian families who shield patients from truth, Rajanya’s parents empowered her with full transparency.

They allowed doctors to counsel her directly, treating her as a partner in decisions. This built unbreakable trust.

On surgery morning, she smiled bravely, inspiring the entire surgical team. Multiple surgeons collaborated successfully, removing all tumours cleanly.

Triumph in Every Arena

Post-recovery, Rajanya wins prizes in running and sports while shining academically. Her sparkling career reflects New India’s spirit, resilient, informed, and fearless. Her parents stand as co-heroes, never holding her back but nurturing her into an idol for the young generation.

A Lesson for New India

Rajanya proves real heroes don’t need Bollywood glamour. They emerge from simple families with courage and clarity. Her parents’ approach, openness, research, and trust, rebuilt family bonds stronger than ever. Children everywhere can draw inspiration from her indomitable will.

✍🏽 This is my Tribute to her.

Thank you, Rajanya and her remarkable parents, for showing the world that true champions rise through truth, teamwork, and unbreakable spirit.
